History:

Namthip originated from Sop Moei District, Mae Hong Son Province. She worked as a logging elephant in Mae Sot from the age of 8 to 10. In 2017, her previous owner put her up for sale for 1.9 million baht, and she was subsequently purchased by her current owner. After the purchase, she worked as a trekking elephant in Krabi.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, with no work available, Namthip returned to logging in Krabi and Phang Nga for about a year. After that, she stopped working and was kept at home. In 2022, she resumed work at Buathong Elephant Camp, where she has been working ever since.
