ฺ
Bai Phai is an elephant originally from Tak Province. She was sold to the southern region of Thailand to work in the tourism industry in Krabi and Songkhla, where she carried tourists on rides. However, when the COVID-19 pandemic struck, she had to stop working. After the pandemic, she was relocated to Buathong Elephant Camp, where she has remained ever since.
Bai Phai is considered a permanent resident of the camp and is the oldest elephant there. Despite her age, she remains strong and continues to be well cared for. She has a calm and gentle nature, making her a beloved member of the camp.
Over the years, she has developed close bonds with her caretakers and other elephants, playing a vital role in maintaining harmony within the herd.
